Jump racing resurfaced last week in another seven days dominated by Flat action, and once again there were plenty of promising young horses on show.

This Andy Oliver-trained Blue Shadow was one to shape with immense promise in a 7f maiden at Roscommon. The son of classy Australian miler Hallowed Crown was slowly out of the gate and showed plenty of greenness. It took most of the race for the penny to even begin to drop. In the last furlong, though, he picked up well and was particularly strong at the line.
