Mystery Power looked a decent colt when beating a field of maiden and novice winners in the Group 2 Superlative Stakes at Newmarket this month. The Hannon yard has twice completed the double, with King Torus and Olympic Glory, both under a 3lb penalty.

Lope Y Fernandez came off the bridle much later than Pinatubo in the Chesham as he led and hung towards his rival over a furlong out. However, the Godolphin colt pulled right away late on and there isn’t an obvious reason why the positions should be reversed.
