Promising Boy Scout can be prepared by Ballydoyle for significant improvement

It's a nice time of year to watch two-year-old maidens. It's a month in which more maidens at up to a mile come on stream, and the first of this week's runners to catch the eye showed plenty in the mile maiden at Naas on the first day of the month.

She was keen through a steadily run race and might have been expected to drop away in the last furlong or so, but it was pleasing the way she stuck to her task. Despite the keen tug she took, she kept going to the line to finish fourth, over four lengths behind easy winner Gan Teorainn but pulling nicely clear of the fifth home.
