Progressive Dancing Star well worth backing to uphold York form

WHEN a field of three-year-old sprinters get well and truly strung out in a high-quality handicap it is invariably wise to pay serious attention to any horse who came close to winning and for that reason Dancing Star makes massive appeal in the Betfred Mobile Handicap (3.45) at Newmarket.

Andrew Balding's filly was mugged close home and beaten half a length by Mr Lupton in a £100k handicap at York last month and it was four and a half lengths back to the third in a field of 17.

For one or even two horses to separate themselves in such a way at that level is fairly rare and those who do so tend to be very good.
