Irate Johnny Dineen on why the Melbourne Cup 'makes him sick' - and DJ has an eye-catching 20-1 Cesarewitch shout
The Upping The Ante stars with their main plays for a wonderful weekend of action in Britain and Ireland

How did last weekend go – did you win or lose?
Johnny Dineen: I've been the victim of quite a few turbulent Saturdays this summer but last weekend was a welcome change and I never put a foot wrong. Every move I made was the right one, especially having a decent chunk on Western Fold in the Grade 2 at Gowran Park. He was my banker of the weekend and it was fairly straightforward. You do get days like that when everything goes right and thankfully last Saturday was one of those, but the opposite can easily happen, too, and you always have to bear that in mind.
David Jennings: Saturday was good, but Sunday was better. Barnavara was my strongest fancy on Arc day and she was tough as nails in the Prix de l'Opera, while my main play in Ireland was Gaucher in the Grade 3 hurdle at Tipperary. I was blessed to collect, as Glen Kiln would have won by a mile had he not crashed out at the last.
Who wins the Dewhurst?
DJ: The heart says Zavateri, but the head says Distant Storm. There was a whiff of 'wow' about the way he made up his ground in a Group 3 last time and you would imagine we are only scratching the surface with him at this stage. I have a feeling he's very good.
