Glory And Honour
All eyes might be on Constitution Hill at Kempton, but I’m far more interested in the jumps action at Hexham where there are three good bets to be had. The best of them may be Glory And Honour, who returns to fences after a 173-day break in the 2m4f handicap chase (4.41).
The ten-year-old was successful on the Flat at Pontefract in 2024 after an 85-day hiatus on the last occasion he returned from a break of longer than 50 days, so he goes well fresh.
Glory And Honour also likes this course, having recorded form figures reading 213 at Hexham, and he is back to the same mark as when last successful here in June last year.
He has shown little form following that last success and comes into this race having been beaten at least 13 lengths on all five starts since, but only two of those runs were over fences and he is a better chaser than hurdler or Flat performer. There is more to come back chasing.
Glory And Honour is a winner over this 2m4f trip and will be well suited by returning to further, having looked short of pace in a 2m handicap hurdle here when last seen in October.
