Backing wild outsiders is not for everyone, so if you prefer to play it safer then look no further than Asset, who has a huge chance in the 1m3½f fillies’ handicap (5.02) at Bath.

The Sir Mark Prescott-trained three-year-old has yet to finish out of the first three in six starts and recorded a career best when stepped up to 1m2f for the first time at Lingfield last month.

Asset helped set a solid pace that day and probably did too much too soon, which resulted in her losing second in the dying strides. Stepping up in trip promises to bring further progress.
