There are firms betting five and six places in this contest and I can't see why Scarlet Dragon is one of the outsiders. He has won at this meeting before and travelled really well when fourth to Ebor favourite King's Advice in a better race than this at Goodwood last time despite not quite seeing out the 1m6f trip.

His last three runs at 1m4f on turf have resulted in Group-race thirds to Morando, Crystal Ocean and Poet's Word and he can definitely be competitive off a mark of 101.
