Vision Clear is difficult to fancy on what he was doing over hurdles when last seen, but he returned on the Flat at Nottingham after a break three weeks ago and was a mammoth eyecatcher.

Ridden by a very inexperienced claimer, Vision Clear was a detached last turning for home and looked to be going nowhere, but without having anything like the kitchen sink thrown at him he suddenly roared home to be beaten just under eight lengths into fifth.
