Paul Kealy provides his Placepot perm for Newmarket on 1,000 Guineas day
Hopefully I have a couple of bankers for the Newmarket Placepot, but they certainly don't come in the first leg, an unraced juvenile heat (1.15).
It would be hard to leave out , who is a half-brother to Barney Roy, while Saeed bin Suroor put only four two-year-olds on the priority list against balloting out and is the first to run.
An interesting outsider to add could be Astimegoesbyfor second-season trainer George Boughey, who certainly knows the time of day.
This one is on the list too and is by top juvenile Mehmas, who opened his account as a sire on Tuesday. Astimegoesby's half-brother Bomb Proof recorded an RPR of 95 when winning on his sole start last year.
It's banker time in the next (1.50) as Communiqueought to go very close. He's best in the race by at least 6lb on official figures and is unbeaten at Newmarket.
Davydenkogot worked up when well backed for the Britannia at Royal Ascot last year, but won all his other four starts. He could well be a Group performer in the making for Sir Michael Stoute and is also considered banker material in the next (2.25).
The Pretty Polly (3.00) is much more of a guess-up race, with no fewer than five once-raced winners in the field. I'll go with Godolphin pair , who has some of the best form, and , who was a tidy winner on her debut in January, although obviously needs a big step up.
I want to take on Quadrilateral in the 1,000 Guineas (3.35) and will go three-handed with my two ante-post bets Boomerand , plus Aidan O'Brien's sole entry Love.
In the last (4.10) the veteran , running well enough on the all-weather in February and 11lb lower than at the start of last season, should go well if front-runners are again favoured, while has to be of interest dropping into handicap company.
