Paul Kealy provides his Newbury Placepot perm

The Newbury Placepot looks winnable for a small perm, even if there are a couple of races full of unexposed and lightly raced runners – but I wouldn't expect a big dividend.

Alfie Solomons (2.10) has run four times on the all-weather for Amanda Perrett since leaving Richard Spencer's yard and the result is that he is now 10lb lower than when last running on turf.

Aside from being knocked sideways at the start at Goodwood last summer, every other one of his ten runs in 2019 would have been good enough to win this off a mark of 70. He's running against mostly exposed rivals, so as long as the ground doesn't get too soft he should go close.

hit the ground running last term, so can be included too.

and look the obvious ones in the 2.40, while in the next (3.10) Stylistiquehas so much solid and decent form to her name that she looks banker material. There are plenty of promising ones against here, but it would take three to make a huge jump to kick her out of the frame.

The 3.40 is one of the guesswork races as very few have run. Having said that, it's hard to leave out John Gosden's Worthily, who is related to six winners (four of whom won first time out), including St Leger winner Lucarno and a couple of other Group performers, all of them trained by Gosden.

The 4.10 features another strong favourite in Gold Wand, whose well-backed neck second to Domino Darling (in an Oaks Trial later this week) is the best form of those to have run by a big margin.

Involvedis another solid-looking favourite for in-form trainer George Boughey, but if the ground does go on the soft side it might be worth including Pam Sly's , a winner on soft at Leicester last season and second on a similar surface over hurdles.
