1pt win at 11-4 with Betfair and Paddy PowerFrankly Speaking has yet to win a race but he showed plenty of promise for Tom Symonds in the spring of 2018 when he finished second in a couple of competitive handicap hurdles.

His attempt at chasing the following season and early this term did not go well – although he would have gone close but for a blunder at the last at Ffos Las in November – and he was well beaten on his return to hurdles in January.

That's hardly a glowing reference for a punt on a 11-4 shot, but that was only his second run over hurdles since finishing runner-up at Warwick in April 2018, and he has since been switched to Fergal O'Brien's yard.
