With Sue Smith back in form, Valence D'Aumont has the look of a very well-handicapped horse on his second run after a wind operation.

The six-year-old joined Smith from France last season with a rating of 123 but he didn't show much in three quick runs in February and March, and after another poor performance on his return when the yard was in the doldrums, he had dropped to 107.
