In November he'd finished a ten-length third to Pym and Highest Sun in a quality handicap at Ascot, from which the first two won next time out, as did did three of those behind Neachells Bridge.

His third at Market Rasen next time also came in a race better than it looked on paper with the first two both also winning next time out.
