Oxx has found a prime opening for Drake Passage

The John Oxx-trained Drake Passage has been unlucky not to have shed his maiden tag after finishing second on all of his three starts, but should be able to get his head in front this evening in the 1m maiden (7.05).

After performing with great credit on his opening two starts over 7f, he looked all over the winner for the majority of the race at Killarney last time, but got collared in the dying embers.

He steps back marginally in trip this evening and brings by far the best form to the table. However, it is interesting that Mark Johnston is making the trip across the Irish Sea with X Rated.
