Outlander foils big gamble on Djakadam

>>Outlander touched a high of 65 in running on Betfair on his way to an 11-1 victory in the Lexus Chase at Leopardstown.

Gordon Elliott's winner battled on well to reverse John Durkan form with Djakadam, who went off a heavily backed 5-4 favourite from a morning 5-2, but finished only third after trading at 1.54.

Don Poli stayed on for second but disappointed backers at 1.62, while Valseur Lido, who touched down in front at the last, finished only fourth after trading at 1.92 to win and 1.04 for a place.
