Our tipster bids to build on an 80-1 Friday place with three Saturday selections
Three wins from 20 career starts is unfair on Digital (18-1), who has plenty of ability but does not have the statistics to back it up.
He sits 2lb below his last winning rating and his sole previous visit to Goodwood resulted in a close third at last year's Glorious meeting.
The fact headgear is left off interests me and he remains unexposed over this 6f trip. This sharp test will definitely play to his strengths and if he can race handily from a middling draw he will not be an easy horse to pass.
Golden Flame
2.10 Goodwood
1pt each-way
He is not an easy horse to predict, but if the Mark and Charlie Johnston-trained Golden Flame (25-1) is going to get back to his best it will be in a Glorious Goodwood handicap.
He has been mainly disappointing this term, but his standout run was a head-second to Valley Forge at Haydock off this rating and excuses can be made for subsequent defeats.
This mark is certainly within range and he should be suited by this sharper test over this distance. From a good draw, he can certainly make his presence felt.
Tabdeed
3.20 Goodwood
1pt each-way
Previously trained by Owen Burrows, Tabdeed was a Group 3 winner in 2020 and has fallen to a very attractive mark after some promising runs this season.
Third to Raasel in Listed company three starts back, he had everything go wrong in the Wokingham and, most recently, he was drawn on the wrong side when 13-2 favourite for another valuable Ascot handicap.
Despite those positives, he is 4lb below his Wokingham mark. He will relish this test and provided he gets any semblance of luck on this occasion, he will be difficult to keep out of the frame.
