Orient can prove a Class above for Midgley

It was always going to be long odds-on that Orientor wouldn't make a huge impact at stud. After all, he started life as a handicapper and didn't win the first of his two Group 3s until he was five, but he was one of those hardy sprinters who improved with age and the best of his offspring have followed suit.

His three best sons - and best daughter - will all be in action at Ayr this week, with the obvious one being Jack Dexter, who has his fourth run in the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup off his reduced mark tomorrow and he did win the Bronze Cup in 2012.

The other three go today and it's the two boys, both trained by Paul Midgley and both with identical recent form figures of 1211, who look set to make a splash.
