Open St Leger but O'Brien holds key hand with Forever Together and Kew Gardens

Forever Together heads the ratings with the 3lb fillies' allowance tipping the balance in favour of the Oaks winner, but she's failed to repeat that level of form on faster ground since and, as is the case with the field, she'd likely need to improve to win an average St Leger.

Kew Gardens and Latrobe are on the up and figure towards the head of the ratings and understandably head the market. Both gave Derby runner-up Dee Ex Bee a similar beating when winning their latest starts, with the former proven at close to the St Leger trip after winning the Queen's Vase.

Latrobe goes up to 115 his Irish Derby win, but is still rated 7lb inferior to the top Irish three-year-olds

Kew Gardens' form has taken off the last twice, but he looks short enough given that he'd surely need to better his current Racing Post Rating of 117.
