Nottingham Placepot picks: Tom Collins shares his Wednesday afternoon perm

Get your tracker at the ready as the opening 1m½f maiden (1.05) produced this year's Derby winner, Adayar.

Although we might see another potential star, it's not an easy start for Placepot punters with 11 debutants in a 17-strong field. The safest option is to side with Island Falcon and Percy Jones, who are making their second starts, and the beautifully bred Untold Mystery.

This month's course-and-distance scorer Rogue Bear will be sent off a short-priced favourite in the 1m½f handicap (1.40) but faces a tough task and Shawaamekh and Gainsbourg are better alternatives.

All eyes will be on Raasel as he bids for a four-timer in the featured 5f handicap (2.15) and it's hard to picture him finishing out of the frame. The rejuvenated Show Me Show Me provides back up.

Saras Hope bolted up in the 0-75 sprint handicap (2.50) last year and could win again, while George Boughey and Jamie Spencer team up with the lightly raced Colombe, who also deserves to be included.

The sole banker on the card is The Daley Express, who has finished in the places on 20 of his 55 starts and is a course-and-distance scorer. He represents Ron Harris in the penultimate leg (3.23).

York runner-up Buriram and East Asia, who was kept fresh for a winter campaign, can close out the perm in the 1m6f handicap (3.55).
