Viva Voce completed an all-weather double over 7f last winter and he looks well treated having dropped to a mark just 1lb higher than for his last win.

He has been shaping well over 7f recently and his latest staying-on fourth at Ayr 16 days ago gave a strong hint he could improve for the return to a mile. He was held up in rear and given a lot to do that day, but nothing finished faster and he was going on at the finish.
