New Road Side has plenty of curb appeal

Power Up is better drawn than when appearing on the way back last time 5.15 Lingfield

Power Up isn't the only runner in this 1m2f contest who shaped encouragingly from a high draw last time (New Abbey Angel did so at Beverley), but she was having only her second start since returning to a stable that did so well with her last year and signs are it has reignited the spark.

The daughter of Rail Link won three times on the all-weather last year, twice for Jane Chapple-Hyam, but lost her way after the last victory, which came for another stable. She returned to Chapple-Hyam last month and, after a sharpener at Chelmsford, looked much more like her old self over this course and distance 25 days ago, sticking on for fifth after plenty of use was made of her early on to get across from the outside stall of 11.

Power Up is potentially well treated off a mark effectively 4lb lower than when winning readily at Chelmsford in December when her jockey's claim is factored in and, crucially, she is ideally drawn in stall two.
