Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's six meetings on Thursday, May 15

Top selections across the cards in Britain and Ireland

York

2.42: Stanage

Things didn't work out for Stanage when he was dropped to 6f at Newmarket 12 days ago but he kicked off this campaign in really good form over 7f and this well-bred and lightly raced 4yo could still have more to offer now back up to 1m. Last year's runner-up Northern Express is feared most now back in cheekpieces, while fellow three-time course winner Blue For You could also pose a major threat. The reappearing C&D winner Sisyphean is respected under Ryan Moore.

Salisbury

5.15: Yellow Card

Although 4lb badly in with a penalty, Yellow Card looks a good deal better than the bare form of his Wolverhampton win. This longer trip should be even more to his liking and the same comment applies to Magic Runner (second choice) who is also capable of better. Van Aert and Top Of Pleinmont should also run well.

Fontwell

7.10: Rockola

Decorated was a no-nonsense winner from the front here 20 days ago and can run well again, as can Super Sabre Sam. Preference, though, is for Rockola who probably ran as well as she ever has when third at Ludlow.

Kempton

8.00: Isabella Castile

Dash Of Azure is respected on handicap debut if ready to go after 197 days off, while a market check is advised with Lady Of Andros on her debut for Ollie Sangster. If last month's Beverley return has taken the fizz out of Al Khawssaa (second choice), she would have to be respected on last year's form, but the choice is Isabella Castile who is 1lb well in following a narrow defeat on her AW debut here ten days ago.

Perth

2.50: Kandor

This can go to Kandor, who won here over hurdles and ran his best race over fences when a close fourth over C&D last month. Last month's Ffos Las winner Peejaybee looks his main threat.

Clonmel

5.45: Keep Kool Coko

A career-best sixth, behind five previous winners in a valuable auction series final at Punchestown last month puts Keep Kool Coko in the driving seat here back in maiden company. Trasna Na Pairce, Irina's Path and Polemon look the dangers.
