Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's six meetings on Saturday, September 13

Bath
6.45: Marchetti
Blue Point Express could still be well handicapped after a 3lb rise for her recent Chepstow win and is not opposed lightly but this return to forecast heavy ground is a big plus for MARCHETTI who is well handicapped on some of last season's form and now has her favoured conditions for the first time this year. Anticipating may fare best of the others.
Chris Wilson
Chester
4.35: It'sneverjustone
Top of the list is David Loughnane's 3yo IT'SNEVERJUSTONE, who has won in good style at Ffos Las and Galway in his last two starts and is open to more progress. Roger Varian's 3yo Fire Flame made his breakthrough at Thirsk last month and he's feared most ahead of Probe, who didn't get much luck here last time and looks interesting on this step back up in trip. Five-time course winner Paws For Thought also makes the shortlist along with class-dropper Capital Guarantee.
David Moon
Doncaster
4.50: Sovereign Sea
It would be no shock to see the William Haggas-trained 3yo Regalian return from a short break with an improved effort but narrow preference is for SOVEREIGN SEA. Roger Varian's charge had little chance from too far back at Chelmsford last time and continues to look well treated on the form he showed when second at Newbury in May. Sportingsilvermine is next on the list.
Andrew Sheret
Leopardstown
3.50: Al Aasy
A hot renewal. Trustyourinstinct faces stronger competition than when winning this last year but has improved since and has to be respected. However, already a winner eight times at Group 3 level, AL AASY sets a high standard and comes here on the back of an impressive Goodwood win. He should be hard to beat. German Derby second Convergent is much the most appealing of the three-year-olds.
Alan Hewison
Lingfield
5.00: The Thames Boatman
Glamorous Breeze looked a natural around here nine days ago and she should get another strong pace to aim at given the make up of today's field. Stall 9 isn't ideal though. Twilight Fun (second choice) should go well back on AW, while Clearpoint is another to consider, but this could set up nicely for last year's winner THE THAMES BOATMAN. He will need a bit of luck from his draw but he has a fine record over C&D and is 2lb lower than for his 2024 win.
Paul Smith
Musselburgh
5.50: Penn Avenue
The most solid contender is the only filly in the field, PENN AVENUE, and she is taken to win for the second time following two creditable efforts in defeat. Recent Newcastle winner Falaise Blanc looks the main danger, although Sidney Stratton also has claims on his second at Carlisle two outings ago.
