Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's seven meetings on Monday, August 25

Ballinrobe

6.13: Anysignofhim

Jumping was an issue for ANYSIGNOFHIM earlier in his career. His recent third at this venue indicates he is getting the hang of things, and the form has been franked. He is given the vote over Georginas Jet, 11l behind the runner-up when third at Killarney on Saturday, and Western Opera, who stayed on late for second at this venue last month.

Cartmel

3.30: Saint Bibiana

There's not a lot between SAINT BIBIANA and Pounding Poet on their Uttoxeter encounter but the selection's course experience swings the pendulum in her favour. The unexposed Caughtinyourtrance has to be feared, along with Imperial Data and Minella Rescue.

Chepstow

3.03: Johnjay

A fiercely competitive 0-68 handicap, predictably so given the money on offer, can go to JOHNJAY, who found the drop to 7f against him as favourite behind Romanovich and Soi Dao here a month ago and should get this run to suit in a big field. Ajrad, who had five of these trailing in his wake when easily making it 3-3 over C&D 11 days ago, is much respected despite a further 7lb hike, with unlucky Nottingham loser Onslow Gardens another for the shortlist.

Downpatrick

3.43: Warriors Wood

With the form of his novice win at Ballinrobe given a boost last week at Killarney, WARRIORS WOOD could be well handicapped even without factoring in the 7lb taken off by Eoin Staples. Our Zebo has a bit to prove off this mark but he runs this track well and returns in a good vein of form. Kilmore Coral brings potential into handicaps soon after winning her maiden.

Epsom

5.03: Silver Trumpet

Preference is for SILVER TRUMPET who hit a personal best with his emphatic win over C&D ten days ago and represents a yard that has won this race three times in recent years. Recent Redcar runner-up Valley Ofthe Kings is feared most on his handicap debut, although The Bitter Moose was second behind the selection here last time and he should go well again.

Ripon

3.50: Capital Guarantee

Recent Haydock winner Leadenhall looks the pick of the Tim Easterby trio, while the unexposed Qazag (second choice) gives the impression he could bounce back at any time and market strength should be noted. However, the vote goes to CAPITAL GUARANTEE who only had a neck to spare over Barley here nine days ago, but that doesn't tell the whole story as it took him some time to see daylight.

Southwell

3.25: Breakdancer

He took a bit of time to warm up but BREAKDANCER was strong through the finishing line when winning at Kempton 19 days ago and he can make light of his 7lb rise. Looks Fantastic could be the main danger now returned to the scene of his best run for his former stable, while Kameel, Barry's Boy and Mahogany Bay also have something to recommend them.
