Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's nine meetings on Saturday, June 21

Ascot
4.20: Comanche Brave
Last year's victor Haatem was treading a familiar path for Jersey winners in dropping in distance and grade from a Guineas run, and California Dreamer arrives with a similar profile after her fine second in the Irish 1,000. She makes the shortlist along with the unbeaten Remmooz and the fast-improving Spy Chief, but the most compelling claims are held by Comanche Brave, whose dam Ishvana won this race in 2012. Promising runs in a Group 3 and the Irish 2,000 Guineas lay a solid foundation for Comanche Brave's 3yo campaign and this progressive colt now looks ready to strike. The lightly raced and unexposed Saracen may pose the main threat. Richard O'Brien
Ayr
8.08: Woohoo
Opal Storm's legion of long-suffering supporters will be hoping for a clearer passage than at Thirsk two weeks ago but she's yet to convince over 6f. Chuti Manika will be dangerous if left alone up front, while The Good Biscuit (second choice) has been bubbling away and could be ready to strike, but Woohoo looks the safest option. Her winning streak came to an end at Hamilton on Wednesday but it still represented further progress and there was no shame in giving best to another thriving opponent. Paul Smith
Bangor
7.00: Independent Jimmy
A losing streak of 29 and this month's laboured Flat run temper greater confidence in Chillhi, however much his excellent new connections' gifts for reviving and placing similar types are respected. He's taken on instead with Independent Jimmy, all set to post a definite personal best before a stopping error over C&D last time, and trusted to compile a cleaner round with the help of the cheekpieces here. Spartan Warrior looks a solid option as next best. Jeremy Grayson
Down Royal
2.43: Alba Chiara
Many make their handicap debut here and it is Alba Chiara who appeals the most. She received a beating of over 2l from Angelo Pio last time over this C&D but she needed to race wide that day and is now 3lb better off with that rival. Vegas Whipper has been given a high opening mark but he was an eyecatcher on his most recent maiden start. Paddydaddy relished the step up in trip to today's distance last time and he can go well again. Denis Harney
Haydock
6.40: Sugar Hill Babe
Top of the list is Sugar Hill Babe, who hit a personal best with her dominant display at Nottingham last month and was a creditable second behind an improver at Lingfield last time. Second choice is Roger Varian's lightly raced filly Spherical, who had a tough task in her final 2yo race and could resume her progress on this handicap debut. Another to consider is Glamorous Breeze, who has won two of her last four starts and things didn't go her way behind the selection at Lingfield 18 days ago. David Moon
Limerick
2.55: Anvika
Bidding for a five-timer, Amemri can't be discounted but the handicapper might have had his say now. Nocturnal can be expected to improve significantly on her second start for Natalia Lupini. Of the Joseph O'Brien-trained trio, Beautiful Affair is probably the yard's best chance. Stormie Outlook has claims if she can recapture last season's form, but this looks like a golden opportunity for Anvika to gain a third career win. Adrian Wall
Lingfield
8.55: Beelzebub
A number of these arrive in good form, including Rusheen Boy, who's been put up a chunky 12lb for his Yarmouth demolition job, and Silky Robin, who made it 2-2 at Brighton in a 5f race run to suit 12 days ago. Lahina Bay came in for good support ahead of her recent C&D comeback from a break and is down to a career-low mark having been dropped 2lb, but Beelzebub, who's used to plying his trade in better company, makes most appeal off his lower turf mark for a yard in good nick. Graham Wheldon
Newmarket
3.45: Circe
Buccabay's Windsor form reads well and he can feature, while Sudden Flight (second choice) might find the tempo of this race more desirable than when he was taken off his feet early at York last month. Circe still looked in top form when fifth at Epsom two weeks ago, headed in the final furlong having got to the front quite easily, and she can capitalise on the return to faster ground. Jubilee Walk has plenty to prove but his promise from last spring shouldn't be forgotten and he has had wind and gelding operations since last in action. Paul Smith
Redcar
3.21: Muker
Circus Lion helped force a fast pace at Southwell on his return from a year off and it was no surprise to see him tire late on. He could leave that form well behind him but preference is for last year's winner Muker, who also ran in that Southwell race and was beginning to make his move when impeded at a crucial stage. The biggest threat may come from Zarzyni, who is 1lb better off for a neck on their clash here in 2024. Paul Smith
