Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's four meetings on Sunday, August 10

Downpatrick

2.47: Arch Empire

Question marks surround Redwood Queen, Dollar Value and Catena Zapata, much less so Arch Empire, who comes here on the back of some solid form on the Flat. He can complete a hat-trick of wins in the race for Gordon Elliott, Itsalladream could prove next best.

Haydock

5.15: Acrisius

Some fast sprinters on show and this looks set to be run at an end-to-end gallop. With Spring Is Sprung, Night On Earth and Copper Knight drawn in three of the four highest stalls it could be that stands' side is the place to be but there is pace amongst the low numbers too, notably Grandlad, Curious Rover and Secret Mistral. Accrual has his share to prove but last time looks best ignored (pulled far too hard after an absence) and the addition of a hood could help. Classy Al (second choice) is reunited with Paul Mulrennan and has a big run in him but Acrisius won easily at Chester last time and can defy a rise in the weights.

Leicester

5.00: American Style

The Quiet Gent bled when disappointing at Windsor eight weeks ago but he still has some potential and could yet prove well treated. Dark Cloud Rising drops in class and is considered, while Lord Roxby (second choice) looks booked for another big run. American Style has been running with distinction in the best 3yo 6f handicaps this summer though and his latest second at Newmarket was another cracker. He could prove a cut above today's lesser opposition.

Wolverhampton

5.07: Lessay

Saxonia (second choice) should go well back down in grade, while the veteran \bHarbour Vision\p continues to run well and is likely to do so again. A market check is advised regarding the returning Antiquity, but the vote goes to Lessay (nap) who is 1lb lower than when winning at Kempton in March, his only previous appearance in a Class 5 AW handicap.
