Nap of the day: the best horse racing tips from the day's four meetings on Monday, June 23

Ballinrobe

7.15: Curroy Lady

Racing wide and suffering equipment malfunctions,  Curroy Lady still managed to run on into third over course-and-distance last time and with her mark unchanged she looks very dangerous. Whats New was fourth behind subsequent winners at Tipperary on his penultimate start and he is worth another chance off his current mark. Academe is another who could go well after she left her maiden form behind with a good second on handicap debut at Gowran.

Chepstow

4.20: Thurso

Kamekist makes some appeal back at 6f but Thurso has come good of late, making up a lot of ground to finish a close third on the all-weather two starts ago before running down one who was ahead of his mark at Haydock. A hefty rise has followed but there are questions about most of his rivals. Ten Club, back at 6f, and Raffles Angel, on her 2024 form, are others to consider.

Windsor

5.17: Southbank

Most of these have plenty to prove but Southbank added to his four all-weather wins when justifying support in good style at Bath last month. He has a 7lb rise to deal with but he's still lightly raced on turf and is a big player in his bid to make it 2-2 for Chris Gordon. Vape, who looked an unlucky loser at Chepstow on his penultimate run, is feared most ahead of Lequinto, who has possibilities if this sets up for his closing style.

Wolverhampton

3.00: Shiplake

Rogue Dancer, Skellig Isle and Style King should appreciate the return to all-weather and can't be discounted but the two to appeal most are Queue Dos and Shiplake. The former, a course-and-distance winner, ran a fine race at Windsor last week but Shiplake is unexposed and his Newcastle win in November suggests this opening mark should be well within range.
