Nap of the day: best horse racing tips from the day's six meetings

Tips at Fontwell, Kempton, Newcastle, Thurles, Uttoxeter and Wolverhampton

Saturday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Fontwell

3.21: Aggagio

Mini Yeats should benefit from the longer trip now handicapping and he's high on the list, while One Last Glance also has another big run in him. Aggagio(nap) hasn't fully clicked over hurdles just yet but he's fairly useful on the Flat and he's a fascinating contender now upped in trip for his handicap debut.
Paul Smith

Kempton

2.05: Rockstar Ronnie

The Dan Skelton-trained Rockstar Ronnie(nap) returns from a winter break and can land a hat-trick having won two in a row in good style here in November. Drying ground may not be ideal for the progressive Golden Boy Grey and therefore Sebastopol could be the main threat, having had a break since his Boxing Day blip here.
Ben Hutton

Newcastle

3.43: Rafferty's Return

In a race likely to be run at a sound gallop the progressive Rafferty's Return(nap) is taken to make a winning handicap debut by beating the useful Jetoile.
Colin Russell

Thurles

4.37: Unexpected Depth

It should pay to look beyond the superficially unappealing set of form-figures presented by Unexpected Depth (nap). He gets 5lb from Gentlemansgame, whose chance is based on last season's form and now needs to retrieve that standard with the help of a tongue-tie and cheekpieces. Crosshill should enter calculations too.
Alan Sweetman

Uttoxeter

3.35: Time To Get Up

No horse has ever won this race twice but Time To Get Up(nap) was having only his fourth start over fences when successful 12 months ago and there's more to come from him. Although well beaten in the end last time at Haydock, he moved with a purpose for much of the race and he'll be fitter for this. The dangers are others with a history in this race, as second choice Screaming Colours will be more at home under these conditions than when a close fourth 12 months ago and Truckers Lodge, who hacked up two years ago in the mud, returns to the scene of that finest hour on the back of two sterling efforts.
Alistair Jones

Wolverhampton

8.30: Universal Effect

A market check is advised with regard to Weloof having dropped back to his last winning mark, while Magical Mile and Makambe are both running well enough to suggest they may play a part. Calonne is capable of figuring if things pan out his way, but preference is for Universal Effect(nap) who ran better last time and is 3lb lower than for the latest of her two C&D victories early last year.
