Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the seven Monday meetings
Monday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Chepstow
3.10: Before Midnight
Amoola Gold has enjoyed a very good season and his current mark is probably not beyond him but preference is for Before Midnight (nap), who could have untapped potential as a 2m chaser. Sam Thomas's 8yo was consistent at around 2m4f towards the end of last year and the turn of foot he showed to win an AW bumper in February suggests that keeping him at 2m for this return to chasing is a good move. Court Royale will appreciate today's return to good ground and is next on the list.
Chris Wilson
Cork
1.50: Mr Josiey Wales
It looks best to side with Mr Josiey Wales (nap) who ran well enough on his return from a long absence at Navan last month to suggest he should be good enough to take this modest maiden. De Shirocco and Imperial Tune hold place claims, while first reserve Flying Colum could have benefited from time off is one to keep an eye on should he get a run.
Alan Hewison
Fairyhouse
4.20: Fakir D'Oudairies
Second in four Grade 1 events since his 2019 Drinmore Chase win at this venue, Fakir D'Oudairies (nap) can go one better at this level. Battleoverdoyen will be a dangerous opponent if showing form in keeping with his victory over Easy Game at Down Royal in November.
Alan Sweetman
Kempton
2.20: Lihou
The shape of the race may prove crucial with Top Breeze the likely pace angle and he could be dangerous if left alone in front. Royal Birth should have the race run to suit and is capable of yet another good run, but the vote goes to Lihou (nap) who had three of these behind him when narrowly beaten at Lingfield early last month and has winning form over C&D.

Plumpton
3.55: Dr Sanderson
Having won over C&D in October, there is a good chance that this decent prize has been a long-term target for Dr Sanderson (nap), who showed enough in a bumper last time to suggest he will be primed for this test. Pistol Whipped was disappointing at Newbury but his stable is in better form now and he could provide the biggest threat, ahead of Solomon Grey and Mellow Ben.
Keith McHugh
Redcar
3.25: Intrinsic Bond
Preference is for Intrinsic Bond (nap), who has been largely progressive and scored at this venue on his most recent turf start. Second choice is Bomb Proof, who looks open to improvement over this new trip back down in class. Fortamour is also respected and Woven will be interesting if the market speaks positively.
Steve Boow
Wolverhampton
1.20: Divine Connection
Top of the list is Divine Connection (nap), who got back in groove when forging clear over C&D 21 days ago and may well be able to strike again off her revised mark to make it 2-3 for her current yard. Gonzaga has had three close calls here in his last four starts and he's feared most, though One Step Beyond looks interesting with a visor added on his drop back in trip. The other one on the shortlist is Where Next Jo, who still has potential and needs checking in the market on her comeback.
