Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's three meetings

Good Friday selections from Newcastle, Lingfield and Chelmsford

Friday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Chelmsford

5.00: Flintstone

It is possible that Mizmar (now blinkered) and Octopus will be among those vying for the lead, but on the back of a pleasing run at Kempton, and with Ryan Moore in the saddle, the most obvious candidate is Flinstone. Of the others Mackenzie Rose appeals as the type to do better at this trip, but Court Of Session has a tricky wide draw to overcome.
Mark Rowntree

Lingfield

4.00: Karibana

Proclaimer is on quite a run but this will demand another step forward. Mobashr can be excused his latest run and can go well, while Totally Charming still has a bigger effort in him and Shoot To Kill shouldn't be underestimated either. Karibana has some uninspiring form figures but he's been ridden more forcefully than normal of late and the drop in grade, return of cheekpieces and, perhaps most crucially, William Buick back in the saddle could lead to a full revival.

Newcastle

2.00: My Oberon

Today's assignment for My Oberon is nothing like as tough as the Group 1 Dubai Turf in which he finished sixth at Meydan last month, and he holds leading claims. Bless Him enhanced his good record here when winning a 7f handicap last month and is second choice with the step back up to 1m in his favour. La Tihaty was disappointing last time but this lightly raced 4yo remains of interest, with C&D winner Tempus another who could run well.
