Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's three meetings

Wednesday selections from Ludlow, Southwell and Wolverhampton

Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Ludlow

2.15: Didero Vallis

Dublin Four is going the right way and commands respect but Didero Vallis shaped nicely in the Becher and looks well treated on the form of his second at Kelso in the spring. Smarty Wild isn't sure to stay this longer trip but still appeals most of the remainder.
Richard O'Brien

Southwell

5.00: Khilwafy

Cherokee Dance turns out quickly again after her clear second under a penalty at Kempton on Sunday and she's respected. Onesmoothoperator has finished runner-up in his last three starts and should give it another good shot, while his stablemate Ashington is a useful jumper who looks interesting off a dangerous mark back on the Flat. However, preference is for the lightly raced 5yo Khilwafy, who justified strong support in a C&D maiden 12 days ago and is open to more progress on his handicap debut.

Wolverhampton

3.30: Porfin

Two standouts and Porfin can go one better than at Kempton on Friday and further enhance his trainer's reputation of doing well with cheap purchases. Royal Heart rather threw it away last time and is up 3lb, but rates the biggest danger.
