Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's three meetings
Sunday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Cheltenham
2.55: Cormier
The expected market leaders Thousand Tears, Dads Lad and Sonigino represent top stables and could play leading roles, but their claims aren't cast-iron and it may pay to look for alternatives at bigger odds. Course winner Cormier was a creditable seventh in the County Hurdle on his last visit to Cheltenham and the 7lb removed by the up-and-coming conditional Ben Bromley could prove crucial. Fellow northern challenger First Impression has been in good form on the Flat and is second choice, ahead of the very lightly raced Gin Coco for the in-form Harry Fry. A Different Kind, Harbour Lake and Severance are others who could run well.

2.40: Irish Hill
A competitive handicap and last year's winner Quinta Do Mar is one to consider despite some uninspiring form figures. Hystery Bere (second choice) has the form to feature if all the better for wind surgery but Irish Hill also returns from the same procedure and, with his stable red hot and Freddie Gingell's 10lb claim very welcomed, the four-year-old appeals most.

3.05: Fortunedefortunata
Plenty of these make some appeal. Peace Party was unlucky at Fairyhouse and has the assistance of a very good 7lb claimer here. Handicap debutant Changing The Rules is well worth a market check, and others that can make bold showings include last year's runner-up Cotteemcavennigoal and Dollys Destination. The vote goes to Fortunedefortunata, who impressed at Galway and might turn out to be a bit better than a mere handicapper.
