Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's three meetings

Sunday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Carlisle

12.30: Wor Verge

The 9yo Wor Verge(nap) is on a career-high mark having won over C&D the last twice but he had plenty in hand from runner-up Applaus most recently and is taken to land the hat-trick. Applaus is 8lb better off today and could be the main danger, ahead of the handicap newcomer Ice Coast.
Ben Hutton

Leicester

1.40: Unit Sixtyfour

This looks a good opportunity for Unit Sixtyfour(nap) to open his account. Ben Buie has never won beyond 2m but he still looks the biggest threat on current form.
Steve Boow

Navan

2.20: Frontal Assault

Gordon Elliott has won five of the last eight runnings of this race and can strike again with the attractive Frontal Assault (nap), who should be ideally suited by this sort of test and is just 3lb higher than when runner-up in last season's Irish Grand National. Run Wild Fred, the Elliott-trained winner of the race 12 months ago, had also finished second in the Fairyhouse highlight a season earlier. Velvet Elvis is a live player if leaving behind his disappointing run in the Munster National, and his stablemate Regina Dracones could outrun her price if bringing her best. Death Duty has each-way claims.
