Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Tips from Aintree, Chelmsford, Doncaster, Down Royal, Kelso and Wincanton

Saturday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Aintree

1.01: Milan Bridge

Chasing is on the agenda for Milan Bridge but this lightly raced six-year-old can first land this nice hurdling prize, having shown plenty of promise in this discipline last season. Flight Deck was progressive in staying handicap hurdles at the end of 2021 and is feared most on this first outing since. The six-year-old Gericault Roque did well over fences last season and is a contender on his reappearance, while Deise Aba and Remastered are also better known for their chasing exploits but were placed in this race 12 months ago. Johnson's Blue is on a five-timer and is respected despite the rise in grade.
Ben Hutton

Chelmsford

5.30: One More Dream

Most of these have a lot to prove and the one that stands out is the progressive three-year-old One More Dream, who has won six-furlong Newcastle handicaps in his last two runs. He has another penalty on this step back up in trip but he surged clear from off the pace last time and is a major player again in his hat-trick bid. Arpina could make a bold bid back on Polytrack after a break and she's feared most, although Brazen Arrow was an eyecatcher at Wolverhampton last week and could be interesting if he can build on that.
David Moon

Doncaster

2.39: Biggles

Yanifer (second choice) has done really well for Harriet Bethell and he is a danger to all but Biggles was particularly impressive when taking another step forward at Newbury. If this lightly raced five-year-old copes with the quick return he ought to have another win in him despite a steep rise in the weights. Young Fire looks booked for a good run as he didn't have much luck in running here recently and has much less to prove under the conditions than most.

Down Royal

2.32: Galvin

Conflated would be a big player if fully tuned up on his return but he doesn't seem to bring his best form to the table on his seasonal reappearances. Galvin is preferred with a recent run under his belt and there was plenty to like about the performance at Punchestown last month. Kemboy probably needs his best effort for a while to land this and Envoi Allen has a bit to prove at this trip.
Phill Anderson

Kelso

3.24: Post Chaise

Although he is short of experience, topweight Gentleman De Mai (second choice) is unexposed and worth respect, along with the veteran Perfect Man. However, Post Chaise was in good form when last seen in the spring and remains on a competitive mark. Azof Des Mottes represents an in-form yard and may do better this time.
Keith McHugh

Wincanton

1.50: Cap Du Nord

Frodon has been re-routed from the Grade 1 chase at Down Royal that he won on his reappearance last season and he could be too classy for these off his reduced handicap mark. However, he is likely to race prominently off what's sure to be a strong gallop and one who may well land a telling late blow is Cap Du Nord, who should be all the better for his comeback run. Lord Accord and Slipway are respected on the back of career highs.
