Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Selections from Bath, Catterick, Fairyhouse, Lingfield, Kempton and Yarmouth

Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Bath

8.05: Laguna Veneta

Eve Johnson Houghton's Laguna Veneta looked good at Leicester and she can defy a 7lb rise. Atomise is ready for today's mile and may prove most troublesome. Badr is the likely improver.
Alistair Jones

Catterick

4.50: Dreamcasing

Having kept on well when a gambled-on second of 20 over 6f at Thirsk last Wednesday, there's every chance the very lightly raced 4yo Dreamcasing will be fine now he's back up in trip and he is taken to go one better. Mr Trevor hasn't enjoyed much luck the last twice and is second choice, ahead of Ginato whose stable is in much better form than was the case when he last raced.

Fairyhouse

5.55: Borletti

Borletti sets a good standard, only beaten 2l in the Railway Stakes, and may prove a hard nut to crack back in maiden company. Blindsided is likely to give him most to think about while any improvement from Dontspoilasale and Paulliac should see them to better effect here.
Brian Dowling

Kempton

8.50: Boasty

Preference is for Ivan Furtado's front-runner Boasty, who was creditable third behind two progressive 3yos at Lingfield last time and looks interesting on this drop back in trip and grade. Makambe has reached the frame in six of his seven runs this year and he could pose the main threat on his return to a mile. Just Amber is on a workable mark and needs watching in the market on her reappearance, while another one to keep an eye on is the handicap newcomer Opticality.
David Moon

Lingfield

2.30: Royal Mariner

Rock Girl (second choice) may be capable of better for George Boughey, who had a few in this at the entry stage, and Padre Daniele is more talented than he's been able to show but Royal Mariner looks the one for today. The Windsor novice he was fourth in 11 days ago is highly likely to work out well.
Andrew Cooper

Yarmouth

4.40: Electric Love

The six declarations are collectively just 1-21 in 2022, but four of them offer highly serviceable win and placed form over C&D this year and/or last. Amor De Mi Vida showed once again in victory here last time that her errant ways are no absolute bar to success, but in Electric Love she faces a rival who thrived over today's test this time last year and for whom surely more will go right than at Nottingham three weeks ago.
