Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Selections from Cheltenham, Doncaster, Dundalk, Newbury, Newcastle and Sligo

Friday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Cheltenham

4.15: Coole Cody

Guard Your Dreams was placed in a Grade 1 novice in April and makes significant appeal on his return to handicap company but Coole Cody (nap) did very well over fences for Evan Williams last season and is a tempting alternative off his lower hurdle mark today. This is much tougher than the two run-of-the-mill handicaps which Mullaghmore Wave won in Ireland during the summer but, in view of her trainer's excellent strike-rate in Britain, she is not opposed with any confidence.
Chris Wilson

Doncaster

3.15: Favorite Moon

The three at the top of the weights make the most appeal. Favorite Moon (nap) has been in cracking form recently and looks the one to beat. Postileo is well handicapped, though, and they won't want to give too much rope to the characterful and highly talented nine-year-old Not So Sleepy.
Richard Austen

Dundalk

4.45: Sister Lola

Though Sister Lola (nap) has to give weight to all her rivals, she is very effective here and consistent too, so is difficult to oppose with Colin Keane aboard. Malaysian has the rating to go close if all is well after her break, while Roaring Water is surely better than she showed on debut.
Tyrone Molloy

Newbury

5.00: Bernardo O'Reilly

The Irish raider Fastar, who revels in the mud, is tempting after a break, but preference is for Bernardo O'Reilly (nap), who had an excuse in the Ayr Bronze Cup having shaped well on his previous two outings. Topweight Capote's Dream is much respected, while Uncle Jumbo is well handicapped if the blinkers have a positive effect.
Richard O'Brien

Newcastle

5.30: One Night In Milan

There should be more to come from useful jumper One Night In Milan (nap) on the Flat so he's fancied to overcome a 4lb higher mark than when winning at Ayr. Major Snugfit's stamina for 2m on the Flat has to be taken on trust but he arrives in very good form and is feared most.
Andrew Sheret

Sligo

2.20: Seaforth Mancy

An interesting maiden hurdle in which Seaforth Mancy (nap) makes plenty of each-way appeal for his small stable. Patricks Hill is respected but Sadie's Pride could be a bigger danger.
Johnny Ward
