Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Saturday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Ayr

3.35: Stormy Judge

The 3m novice handicap chase final won by Stormy Judge(nap) at Navan last March worked out extremely well, with the clear runner-up Enjoy D'Allen finishing third in the Irish National next time. The unexposed 7yo shaped at Naas recently as though he was coming to the boil, and his brother and stablemate Mister Fogpatches was third in this last year so there can be considerable optimism he'll be suited by the step up in trip. Danny Mullins is an excellent man to have on board and Stormy Judge earns the vote ahead of his stablemate History Of Fashion, who also has potential at this trip and could provide trainer Pat Fahy with a famous one-two. Christian Williams also has a strong hand with Kitty's Light and Win My Wings, and the first-named in particular is feared. Fantastikas, Jersey Bean and Major Dundee are other interesting contenders.
Ben Hutton

Chepstow

3.27: Discko Des Plages

Ballinsker got his act together over fences at Plumpton last month and ought to be able to cope with today's 4lb higher mark but this can go to Discko Des Plages(nap), who returned from a layoff with a very encouraging run three weeks ago and is now 6lb lower than when second in a very similar race to this on good ground here last April. Trumps Benefit is next on the list.
Chris Wilson

Leopardstown

4.20: Brasil Power

A 4lb rise for his handicap debut win in Britain looks on the lenient side for Brasil Power (nap). Provided he's ready to roll on his seasonal reappearance, this step up in trip should be ideal. Cyclamen, representing last year's winning yard, is another likely improver trying 1m2f for the first time, and the handicapper has given Atlantic Island a squeak from his opening mark of 74.
Phill Anderson

Lingfield

3.40: Existent

There should be plenty of pace on here, which would be to the advantage of the hat-trick-seeking Existent(nap) who has managed to win his last two starts nicely despite taking a grip. He is up another 7lb, but gives the impression there is still more to come. Strong Power has improved immensely since the start of the year and can't be ruled out despite a 30lb rise in that period, while Night On Earth has more to do but his consistency means he can't be overlooked.
David Bellingham

Newbury

2.45: Speech Bubble

Topweight Speech Bubble (nap) holds very strong claims, having gained her January success over C&D then performed well at Sandown behind a subsequent Cheltenham Festival winner. She's still unexposed to boot and may well burst the bubble of unbeaten Corey's Courage, who warrants respect all the same and looks the biggest danger. Nina The Terrier is third choice, ahead of Sabrina. Holly Hartingo, Nextdoortoalice and Good Look Charm may prove best of the remainder.
Steve Boow

Wolverhampton

8.00: Sarah's Verse

This doesn't look overloaded with speed and that won't suit a few, notably Amazing Amaya. With Brazen Belle likely to come on for this first start in five months this may be best left to Sarah's Verse(nap), who can race handily and doesn't look on a bad mark. Light Lily is interesting on this first sprint run for some time and can give the selection most to do.
