Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Top tips from Perth, Ludlow, Catterick, Salisbury, Lingfield and Bellewstown

Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Bellewstown

4.05: Sun King

Irish Derby entrant Sir Antonino did little wrong on both juvenile starts and is now tried in headgear on his seasonal reappearance but the higher-rated Sun King has a run under his belt and that could give him the edge. Mark Nunan

Catterick

2.15: Vadamiah

Top of the list is Vadamiah, who found plenty of progress when making all over C&D on her recent handicap debut and is a major player again off her revised mark. Sherdil was a well-backed favourite when runner-up behind the selection two weeks ago and he could provide the main threat again. Zwift ended last season with a win and has claims if she can pick up where she left off, while others to keep an eye on are Prayer Matt and the handicap newcomer Anniversary Belle. David Moon

Lingfield

4.15: Haunted Dream

Under a 6lb penalty for his Beverley success a week ago, Haunted Dream is taken to follow up. The manner of victory and his pedigree strongly suggest he could be even better over this longer trip. A few of his rivals remain open to improvement after just three starts and, of that group, Geelong may prove the pick having finished third behind an in-form rival at Newcastle 11 days ago. David Bellingham

Ludlow

2.40: Trixster

A competitive race but it's hard to look beyond Trixster after his wide-margin win seven days ago. Last year's winner of this, Another Stowaway, may prove a bigger danger than Broken Quest but both are viable contenders. Jonathan Neesom

Perth

3.00: Coach Carter

The pick of this quintet is the Irish raider Coach Carter who posted a personal best at Ayr and looks the one to beat off just 2lb higher. Casa Tall has had a luckless spell recently and could pose the main danger if avoiding mishaps this time. Sao, runner-up in this race 12 months ago, is third choice. Richard O'Brien

Salisbury

5.35: Micks Dream

Back at the scene of his solid debut effort, Micks Dream is interesting off a handy-looking mark. He still has very low mileage and may be capable of progress this term. Majeski Man (second choice) and Eye Of The Water are obvious dangers on recent form. Steve Boow
