Ascot
4.05: Crimson Sand
Preference is for Crimson Sand, who has won maiden/novice events at Lingfield this year in nice style and looks the type to do well in handicaps. Second choice Ascot Adventure is very interesting back on turf, while third choice Whittle Le Woods looks capable of further progress. Reappearance winners Marlay Park and Temple Bruer complete the shortlist.
Steve Boow
Chester
2.45: Trumpet Man
Mark Johnston has declared five and can provide the winner in Trumpet Man who should prove well suited by venturing beyond 2m for the first time. Stablemate Rochester House can reward each-way support and Not So Sleepy looks set for a bold show. Future Investment is drawn wide and has a bit to prove if the ground is worse than good to soft but is otherwise very interesting. Who Dares Wins has been placed in the last three Chester Cups and may provide the chief threat to the selection, while Alan King has another noteworthy candidate in the 2019 Chester Plate winner Coeur De Lion.

Market Rasen
3.05: An Tailliur
This looks like a good opportunity for An Tailliur, who appeared to appreciate a sound surface when going close last time and should be suited by this step up in trip. Diamond Rose could emerge as his most serious challenger if putting a lesser effort behind her. Seapoint can chase them home.
Jonathan Doidge
Nottingham
7.30: Rains Of Castamere
Most of these have something to prove but Rains Of Castamere has won his last three Flat starts and hit another personal best with his dominant display at Pontefract last week. He's a major player again under a penalty and may well be able to make it 5-5 at this trip. The big danger is James Fanshawe's very lightly raced Bonneval, who took another step forward with his third behind a smart rival at Kempton in March and looks on a fair mark for this handicap debut.
David Moon
Ripon
6.50: Intrinsic Bond
Bossipop brings solid recent form into the race and can make a bold bid for his first 5f success, while Royal Context and Get Boosting also have something to recommend them. It seems unlikely that Intrinsic Bond won't prove a fair bit better than his current mark by the end of the season and the way he travelled through his return to action at Redcar backed up that impression. He's unexposed at 5f and it may ultimately prove his optimum.
Paul Smith
Cork
7.10: Larado
This looks competitive but the unexposed types might be the runners to focus on. Larado seems to have been let off lightly with just a 2lb rise for his recent win at Leoaprdstown and there's every chance of him improving for this step up in trip. Hale Bopp is another who should improve for further and Kosman can't be discounted after his narrow defeat last time out.
Phill Anderson
Downpatrick
2.50: Western Cowboy
Having performed with credit on debut in a race that has worked out well, Western Cowboy can go one better today over a trip that will suit even better. Eyewitness is an obvious danger on his bumper form but is penalised for winning a race and that makes his task more difficult. Enniskerry has to put a flop behind him but his placed bumper form puts him in the mix.
