Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's seven meetings
Tuesday bets from Brighton, Nottingham, Sligo, Wolverhampton and more
Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Brighton
4.25: Fascinating Lips
This can go to Fascinating Lips (nap), who was nudged up only 2lb for last month's AW success at Lingfield and seemed to win that race with a bit more in hand than the margin (a head) suggests. The ex-German four-year-old remains unexposed in Britain and is still quite lightly raced after only seven starts in total. The other two last-time-out winners, Gold Souk and Alchemystique, are less convincing, so the biggest threat to the selection may come from Be Fair, who is on a workable mark and can easily be excused his latest run.
Chris Wilson
Hexham
5.05: Stowaway John
It will be interesting to see if the punters return for Brickadank who was unable to keep tabs on the first two at Market Rasen but still fared better than in his earlier handicaps. Preference is still for Stowaway John (nap), who was by no means disgraced in a better race at Carlisle until a blunder two out knocked him back and goes handicapping off a modest mark in an ordinary race. Unexposed That's Your Lottie may be best of the remainder.
Emily Weber
Huntingdon
5.55: Iconic Muddle
Gary Moore's Iconic Muddle (nap), came down early when evens favourite to win off this mark at Plumpton and he can make amends. Shiroccan Roll made a positive chase debut at Exeter and he's second choice.
Alistair Jones
Limerick
7.15: Goulane Jessie
Goulane Jessie (nap), stands out here. Denis O'Regan's mount should be really hard to beat if getting into a rhythm. The rest are unappealing in the main.
Johnny Ward
Nottingham
3.30: Cochise
A few of these have something to prove in the likely conditions, but not the unexposed Cochise (nap), who won nicely over 1m6f here last time and, having won over 2m1f, will have no problem with this trip. Contrebasse ran well on his return to the Flat last time, but his moderate strike-rate is a concern and the best alternative looks to be Atomic Jack. He won't mind if the ground eases further and although not seen in 95 days he is proven fresh.
David Bellingham
Sligo
4.15: Social Distance
Last week's Roscommon winner Social Distance (nap), is clearly a much improved operator and she won't really need to have progressed any further to follow up here. The runner-up Bell Ex One renews rivalry and is probably the main threat again, although Sheishybrid could well have something to say here on handicap debut.
Seamus Howard
Wolverhampton
1.20: Abel Tasman
A competitive race in which the vote goes to Abel Tasman (nap), who produced a powerful finish when scoring over 1m6f here two weeks ago and is a major player again off only 3lb higher at this new trip. Stormy Night put in a dominant display here on his penultimate run and he's feared most on his return to Tapeta, though Clifftop Heaven went close behind the selection 14 days ago and is respected with Simon Walker booked. Others to consider are Frame Rate and Tinsmith.
