Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's six meetings

Tuesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Epsom

3.55: Group One Power

A smaller field than usual for this historic handicap but there are some interesting types on show, notably Group One Power (nap) who has a big shout on his Royal Ascot effort. That form has worked out very well and he's only 2lb higher now. Second choice is Soto Sizzler, who won this race in 2019 and remains unbeaten at Epsom. Valyrian Steel is still unexposed, while Galahad Threepwood and Amazing Red come here in good form.
Steve Boow

Sedgefield

1.30: Costly Diamond

Gary Hanmer's mare Costly Diamond (nap) is on a roll and a 5lb rise for her recent Southwell success does not look excessive. She's very well suited by this course and distance and can extend her winning spree. Valence D'Aumont, the other course-and-distance winner, ran well in defeat at Carlisle in October on his latest outing and can evidently go well when fresh. Relkadam has done well since the cheekpieces were refitted and is next on the list.

Southwell

7.00: Stars In The Night

Canford Bay should go well provided four quick runs don't take their toll, while dual course-and-distance winner Scale Force is a contender on consistency alone, but it's hard to get away from Stars In The Night (nap). Kevin Ryan's filly has returned in fine fettle, including a success over course and distance, and another penalty may well not be enough to stop her from completing the hat-trick.
David Bellingham

Tipperary

6.10: Indigo Balance

Back with Jessica Harrington after a fruitless spell in Australia, Indigo Balance (nap) made an excellent comeback at the Curragh last month and has a good chance of upholding form with That's Mad. Course and distance maiden winner Grammata has run well in smart company and could hold her own against her elders after a satisfactory run at Cork.
Alan Sweetman

Wolverhampton

6.20: Athabasca

In a run-of-the-mill handicap, Athabasca (nap) has the potential to prove a fair bit better than her current mark, so Grant Tuer's lightly raced daughter of Nathaniel is taken to build on her excellent Newcastle second and open her account. Course-and-distance winner Feldspar is rated next best, while Stormy Night and Muftakker also warrant respect.
Peter Entwistle

Yarmouth

2.30: El Conquistador

Stuart Williams is in excellent form and El Conquistador (nap) is taken to make it 3-3 for the stable having won in commanding fashion at Lingfield last time. The First King, Asiaaf and The City's Phantom are other lightly raced four-year-olds who could have more to offer, and perhaps The City's Phantom will be the chief threat having won over course and distance on last year's reappearance.
