Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's four meetings

Selections from Aintree, the Curragh, Ffos Las and Limerick

Sunday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Aintree

3.15: Peking Rose

Onemorefortheroad (second choice) has to be on the shortlist after last season's consistency in strong races and the well-handicapped Wilde About Oscar has time on his side to turn things around. There are others to consider, but Peking Rose has undergone wind surgery since performing beneath expectations in a course-and-distance handicap in April and there's still some potential upside to his current mark.
Alistair Jones

Curragh

3.10: Moss Tucker

If he maintains the good form he has shown over 5f in recent months Moss Tucker can land this prize. His Abbaye fifth potentially makes him a cut above these rivals on current form. Dropping back in trip Markaz Paname rates a serious threat. On overall form, Pretty Rebel makes a little more appeal than Lustown Baba who finished in front of her in a similar race last time. Gustavus Weston, who appears to have lost his way, would feature if finding his form again.

Ffos Las

3.30: The Changing Man

Breaking Waves was resurgent and well on top at Southwell last time, with the promise of better still today if some of his older form is anything to go by. However, his interesting rivals include several second-season hurdlers with clear potential. Current Mood and Saint Segal achieved most among that group last term but The Changing Man may have showed his hand the least, looking a clear work in progress even when he won his final start. He could be a major improver this term and gets the vote ahead of Saint Segal, who has a run under his belt.

Limerick

2.25: Ambitious Fellow

A trappy affair in which Ambitious Fellow gets the nod, for all that he's yet to prove he's at his best on testing ground. He's a guaranteed stayer and showed his wellbeing last time at Listowel. The Friday Man can give him most to think about, while Plains Indian could enjoy stepping up to this trip and run better than his rating suggests in this company.
