Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's four meetings

Sunday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Downpatrick

4.30: Rexem

The return to better ground should suit Rexem, who can concede weight all round here, chiefly at the expense of Westcoastinformant in what appears an ordinary maiden.
Alan Hewison

Haydock

6.45: Run For Oscar

Irish raider Run For Oscar can make his trip worthwhile, with lots of promise in his Curragh third last time out when he made up lots of ground after suffering a nightmare run early in the straight. The improving hurdler Malakahna is feared most on her Flat handicap debut, ahead of 3yo maiden The Predictor whose latest piece of form, when upped to 2m, catches the eye. Sovereign Duke and Real Terms are among the several others who could be given a positive mention.
Richard Austen

Leicester

4.22: Ring Of Light

Cubanista opened his account with a very stylish win on soft ground in late June and it will be interesting to see how well he copes with the combination of fast ground and a 9lb higher mark here. However, preference is for Ring Of Light, who ran well in defeat on his recent handicap debut and could easily have a lot more to offer. Bondi Girl and Attache are both likely to be on the premises.
Chris Wilson

Windsor

2.10: Heat And Dust

Menin Gate had hinted a revival before the blinkers patently didn't agree with him at Beverley and, with an easy lead possibly up for grabs, he is feared. However, it was very likely that the unique camber was as much to blame as a career-high mark when Heat And Dust came up short at Epsom and she can be given another chance. Andaleep also comes into it.
