Having had wind surgery, Cudgel returned to form here last month to post his fourth course win, ahead of Hidden Cargo who has gone one better here since, and he remains on an attractive mark. Hidden Cargo is respected but the main danger could be Tumbling Dice, who remains unexposed in the cheekpieces. Wetherby runner-up Espoir Moriviere is one of a few others to consider.

3.40: Ey Up It's Maggie

Despite the soft ground the runners stayed on the inside at the opening fixture here last Tuesday, with the first three in the two sprints drawn 3-6-1 and 1-2-3. That could be a problem for those drawn wide here, so Ey Up It's Maggie makes plenty of appeal from stall two. She ran well over 6f on good ground on her Doncaster return, but the return to this trip and soft ground will be ideal and she races off the same mark. Showalong, Spoof and Dream Composer are interesting from a handicapping point of view, while Abate has a good record fresh so could go well. The Barrons' Irish import Huddle Up is worth monitoring in the market.

4.30: Douglas Dc

The consistent Douglas Dc may be rewarded here. He finished fourth behind Razdan at Dundalk in February but can avenge that defeat, since he is a more experienced hurdler and is in receipt of 8lb. Igraine and Vocito should go well, but also have to concede weight to Jack Kennedy's mount.

5.10: He's A Latchico

The return to turf might ask a question of He's A Latchico but he looks easily the most solid candidate on other counts, bidding for his four-timer and with more to give. Qeyaady's strong finish over 1m2f here last week makes him the chief danger, ahead of the maiden Zhang Fei.
