Her pedigree offers hope that she can do even better now tackling 1m.

Last year's runner-up Red Derek got back on the scoresheet with a brave win at Doncaster 11 days ago and he's respected on this step back up in trip. Captain Haddock returned to form with a rallying second at Newbury and has claims if he can back that up, while Ralph Beckett's handicap newcomer Allemande looks interesting on her switch to this stiffer stamina test. However, the vote goes to Clansman, who won in good style over 1m5f in the mud at Ayr last month.

There may be a better effort in Star Of Aria, especially back over this trip, while Big Impact is another to consider with the form of his latest narrow defeat working out well. However, the vote goes to Starsong who is 6lb higher than when making a successful debut for Mick Appleby at Newcastle last month, but there is very likely still more to come from her.

Favori De Sivola (second choice) and Reilly should both run well but Boughtbeforelunch looks to have as good a chance as any on a course he runs well. Fairlawn Flyer's claims will be boosted if the ground is testing, while these fences will test the jumping technique of Guetapan Collonges.
