Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings
Selections from Ascot, Uttoxeter, Kempton, Southwell and Dundalk

Friday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Ascot
1.45: Red Rookie
Chepstow runner-up Red Rookie(nap) has very solid claims and is taken to go one better. Brave Seasca (second choice) was behind the selection and Amarillo Sky at Chepstow but has since scored easily at Warwick and warrants major respect considering he's 5lb ahead of the assessor. Karl Philippe, One True King and Thyme White are hard to dismiss.
Steve Boow
Dundalk
4.30: Together Aclaim
Some nice prospects in here but Together Aclaim (nap) sets a solid standard and the form of his latest second has been boosted since. Hypernova may give him most to think about after a promising debut here last month and Urban Oasis is worth a market check on debut.
Phill Anderson
Kempton
6.45: Mercian Hymn
It may pay to narrow this down to the 3yos. It required little more than hand riding from David Probert for Mercian Hymn(nap) to score cosily enough on his first attempt over 1m4f so he could still be a step ahead of the handicapper. Ivynator failed to make a significant impact over hurdles last month but he'd won on the AW prior to that and is feared most. Mindspin is worth keeping an eye on in the betting now switching to handicap company after a break.
Andrew Sheret
Southwell
12.25: Prince Abu
Today's step back up in trip could be the catalyst for a first win from Prince Abu (nap), who stayed on well for a close third over 1m4f here last week on his first encounter with Tapeta. Rainbow's Gift is feared most on his first start since wind surgery, with Globetrotter another to consider.
Ben Hutton
Uttoxeter
2.35: Getastar
This can go to lightly raced 5yo Getastar (nap), who was ultimately well beaten by a highly progressive rival on last month's chasing debut but was unquestionably the clear second best that day and competes off the same mark here. Irish point winner Bring The Action ran well over hurdles on his seasonal debut and is feared most. Rebel Leader and Jurys Out also make the shortlist.
