Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings
Saturday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team
Lingfield
2.40: Morgan Fairy
The vote goes to MORGAN FAIRY whose record on the AW reads 21323, while her third of 14 in the London Mile Final at Kempton in September reads well in the context of this race. The biggest threat may come from the Johnston pair, with Wadacre Grace just preferred to stablemate Jilly Cooper.
David Bellingham
Newbury
1.50: Blenkinsop
It's possible to construct a case for quite a few of these but the upwardly mobile BLENKINSOP makes the most appeal. Much improved since stepped up in distance this season, he shows no sign of having reached his limit and can complete a four-timer. Second choice is Peking Rose who won on this card 12 months ago and had an excuse when a beaten favourite here last time. Pikar is unexposed and will be dangerous if staying today's longer trip, while Nina The Terrier has each-way possibilities.
Richard O'Brien

Punchestown
2.32: Captain Conby
A good handicap that will take some winning. CAPTAIN CONBY is a strong traveller who was perhaps outstayed over 3m last time, and the form of that and his previous race was franked this week at Leopardstown. Riaan and San Salvador are on the shortlist after dominating a Cork handicap, along with impressive Galway winner Hgranca De Thaix.
Alistair Jones
Uttoxeter
2.53: Lydford Lad
The vote goes to LYDFORD LAD, who ran well in a similar event at Ffos Las on his debut for Harry Fry and should build on that effort. Immortal Fame (second choice) and Bak Rocky are solid-looking dangers, while Pass Me By remains of interest. A few others also have possibilities in a competitive field.
Steve Boow
Warwick
1.00: Templier
An encouraging reappearance at Fakenham should have put TEMPLIER spot on for this, a race he won with ease 12 months ago off 2lb lower (without taking into account Jay Tidball's claim). Starvoski looks a danger after running her best race yet over fences at Ffos Las. Unit Sixtyfour is another player and watch out for any confidence behind Miss McGugen.
