Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Sunday selections from Carlisle, Cork, Huntingdon, Lingfield and Naas

Carlisle

2.35:Bass Rock

Lightly raced five-year-old BASS ROCK won in good style on his handicap debut at Ayr in April and is taken to defy an 8lb rise on this reappearance. The step up in trip and return to a right-handed track could eke out further improvement from Tommy's Oscar and he's feared most, although Albert's Back and the Venetia Williams-trained French recruit Grizzly James also have to be of interest.
Ben Hutton

Cork

1.15: Jeremys Jewel

Following a recent narrow defeat over hurdles at Fairyhouse, dual bumper winner JEREMYS JEWEL could be the one to beat here. Although she has yet to race on ground this soft, many of her sire's progeny relish it. Manisanda, Memorable Daise and Nancy Wyse look likely dangers among the other hurdling debutantes, while the best of those with hurdling experience looks to be Emily Roebling.
Alan Hewison

Huntingdon

3.55:Uno Mas

No marks for originality but UNO MAS (nap) won very easily off the same mark at Aintree last week and he must have every chance of making it four wins from five starts under Ellis Collier. Lord Sparky likes it here and he's feared most on this return to hurdling. Out The Glen, who won a division of this two years ago, is also interesting for his new yard.
Alistair Jones

Lingfield

3.35:Go Whatever

Sambezi is a fascinating contender, going handicap chasing after just two runs over hurdles, and he could be leniently treated, but preference is for GO WHATEVER who made an encouraging start over fences at Ascot last autumn and is now 6lb lower. Sopran Thor, Jack Valentine and Enrichissant can all be given a chance in a well-contested event.
Richard O'Brien

Naas

1.35:Sounds Of Spring

Plenty of these are proven on the ground but SOUNDS OF SPRING did nothing wrong when second here last time and should go well from the same mark. Shelly Banks and Mi Esperanza come here in good heart as does Pretty Boy Floyd who goes well for Colin Keane.
