Nap of the day: best horse racing tips for the day's five meetings

Selections from Fontwell, Kempton, Navan, Newmarket and Worcester

Wednesday's best bets from the Racing Post's unbeatable Spotlights team

Fontwell

5.10: Ma Belle Noire

The most interesting one is MA BELLE NOIRE (nap), who signed off with a very respectable second over 2m in March and could have a lot more to offer in handicaps over longer trips this season. Yvette Guilbert didn't really fire on her seasonal handicap debut but it would be dangerous to write her off after that. Cherry Cola ran well in defeat last month and is next on the list.
Chris Wilson

Kempton

8.30: Bluebird

Old rivals Jumira Bridge and Griggy are likely to play a part if matching their recent exploits, while Youllovemewheniwin could be given a solid chance on his narrow defeat off 10lb higher here in April. However, there are a few in here who could improve now making their handicap debut at a modest level including BLUEBIRD (nap), who is bred to be much better than he has shown so far, being from the family of the stable's top sprinters The Tin Man and Deacon Blues.
David Bellingham

Navan

2.45: Daisy Jones

A modest enough maiden in which it is hard to look beyond DAISY JONES (nap) on the back of a fine Curragh run where she had several of today's rivals behind her.
Alan Hewison

Newmarket

4.10: Nigwa

Judged on breeding there should be plenty more to come from NIGWA (nap), who has a solid record thus far and should comfortably cope with an opening mark of 81. Light Of Peace, a similar type, is second choice ahead of the improving handicappers Queenlet and Ashky.
Steve Boow

Worcester

4.50: Martalmix'jac

Having shown improved form to finish second at Stratford 16 days ago, MARTALMIX'JAC (nap) may be good enough to win this off the same mark on the assumption he can progress further. Moscow Spy is unexposed and may chase him home, while others to consider include Jobesgreen Lad and R Bernard.
Keith McHugh
